Paris whirlwind adventure

Had a wonderful time exploring Paris with friends.

Saw a puppy riding a Vespa delivering food with his driver.  Sweet puppy

Sweet semi protective puppy
Driver left---KILLER puppy

If you're planning a trip to Paris we absolutely loved our travel jackets from Global Travel.  No problem with being victims of pickpockets and had everything for the day tucked safely away in the interior pockets. All our wallets, snacks, Metro cards, you name it, even a bottle water.  Fantastic.

One of the many sites that warmed my heart was the Angel Bear that was erected a few months ago prior to the Summit on Global Warming.  It is a reminder that the polar bears are disappearing as a result. What a spectacular piece of modern art that makes a statement. It stands in all its grandeaur outside Gare Du Nord train station. A must see.

I noticed as we were entering the station this morning, 2 hours prior to departure as they said was needed that a homeless person was lying behind Angel Bear. So sad.

There were many many street people panhandling in Paris.  Not aggressive just there. We saw a few with dogs and one was feeding his dog his meal he had. I had to give him money after lecturing him the money was for the chin (dog) not him.
Then later I saw this man, not asking for Anything and had no shoes, no coat. Broke my heart.

I should have bought him shoes and a belt. Still regret I didn't. This was in one of the richest neighborhoods in Paris and as he walked by folks sitting in cafes without a care in the world no one, including me did anything but I at least noticed.  I should have acted. I regret I didn't.  Not asking for a thing.

A tip for those planning a Eurostar trip to Paris. We arrived 2 hours prior to out trains departure as instructed only to discover no one was on duty at 5:00 am to check us in as they don't start work until 6:05 am. Live and learn.  Also remember to fill out your customs cards for UK if you aren't a citizen of EU as you need them to board the train. Who knew. Glad my husband was vigilant and noticed.

Travel jacket and Paris

I have to say it was wonderful walking around Paris today without any concern about safety. Our Global Travel Jacket kept everything out of sight and still accessible.

Our travel coats a blessing in Paris.

We had delays this morning with heavy travel into London during rush hour and the Eurostar couldn't run at 200mph as usual and another train broke down on tracks ahead of us but only and hour late.

Met our friend and ready to go out on the town tonight. What a beautiful city and no worry about being a victim of a puck pocket with out new global travel jacket.

Coffee time in UK

Try the Milano at Cafe Nero for true, hardcore chocolate lovers only!!  A THICK chocolate steamed hot but thick thick. Like drinking melted chocolate.  Ohhhh so good and not overly sweet either. Be sure to grab one as soon as you get through customs at Heathrow. A must for me every trip.

We've been exploring the multitude of coffee offerings in UK. Number one in my book Costa and tied for first with Cafe Nero!  Both great!!

UK adventure, travel jacket living up to its reputation; GREAT.

We're having a delightful time in the UK.
The St. Edmundsbury Cathedral was lovely. Glad we had our travel jackets by
http://globaltravelclothing.com.  Kept us toasty warm as well as stowing all the necessities and still allowing us to keep our hands free. Great travel necessity.
