Sea World was gracious enough to extend us a visit. We were treated to a wide array of adventures. We didn't ride any if the rides but we're in awe of the MASSIVE roller coaster. You've got to check it out. Thank you Emily for making our visit possible.

We always love getting away from the hustle and bustle at Marriot Grande Vista in Orlando 7 miles to Disney World, less than 1/2 mile to Sea World and Disney Springs, the reinvented Downtown

Disney 10 minutes away who could ask for more? 

Tomorrow we will be the guest of Sea World. It will be an amazing day!!!

I just got this from thriftytraveler.com and when I went in to try to book the

28th of sept and I was able to get two seats, one way for total of $195.10. Remember it's one way.

Lego's. Great travel diversion

I love Lego's no matter where or when. I'm working on finishing my VW bus kit I bought at Downtown Disney on a trip. It was great to sit in the evening relaxing and having an activity while traveling.  Aldo great to take the small creator packets, less than $5.00 in your bag to pass the time waiting at the airport should you have an extended layover or delay.

Charleston International Airport (CHS) Glad still smalll

Even with recent growth with Boeing moving to the city we still enjoy small town feel to our airport. No teams or trains needed yet.

I've had a lot of inquiries about how to travel light and still have everything one needs for an extended trip.  I wanted to share this link with you and will review these in the very near future.
No more boring travel options for packing.

When I checked out the Space Pak system it came to me in the middle of the night that one could pay for the entire system on one roundtrip flight if you didn't have to check luggage.  The fees you would save would pay for the kit and keep on giving over and over and over.

Ladies I know when it comes to travel each and everyone of us has to deal with a nagging spouse.  You've packed too much, we can't check 5 bag, on and on and on.  No more hiding your luggage in the guest room until it's time to load the car.  Space Paks might be the solution.  Watch for our review on our trip to Orlando in a few weeks. It will be a  practice for London next month and then on to the Islands in February and Venice in March 2017.  Watch for it, you'll be amazed.

If you've ever had to deal with a return for something that doesn't work properly you know what a nightmare it can be. 

I had an issue with my auto paper towel dispenser and when I contacted Bill and Barbara at Innovia Home it took them less than 24 hours to have a new one on my doorstep via FED EXPRESS

They really listen.  You've got to check this paper towel dispenser out.  If you do a lot of cooking you know what a problem grabbing a towel with your hands covered in God knows what.  Well this dispenser will change all that.  All you do is hold your hand in front of the sensor and it automatically dispenses a precise size of paper towel.  When you install a new roll each time you are able to have it sense the size of the towel, select a size or full size just by holding your hand in front of the sensor and tearing off the sheet size you want.  The dispenser then retracts the extra and each time it will dispense that size sheet until you change it again.  I LOVE THIS machine.  Can't live without it.

Disney World. Amazing, family adventure

DISNEY WORLD!   The Happiest place in the world, but also the SAFEST place too!

Our daughter and son in law, adults, found a Disney wedding the thing for them.  It was amazing.  What a fun time was had by all.

We're anticipating another trip to Disney World next month after many, many, many requests about safety.  I know a lot of you, like us, have small grandchildren who would love a trip to Disney.  What an adventure for adults and children alike.  We'll give you the scoop and also safety tips for everyone to insure that you have a truly memorable time.

Being a retired police officer I have great suggestions from years on the street to help you manage your adventure.

Fantastic Paris Hotel - Hotel Mercurie across street from Le Gare Du Nord

Hotel Ibis is a wonderful find.  We arrived at Le Gare Du Nord from London and literally walked right across the street to our hotel, Hotel Mercurie.  Their rate was amazing, including breakfast and room for two, $85 US.  The breakfast was the best free breakfast offering we have seen in our travels in Europe.  You won't walk away hungry.  Amazing breads, yogurts, the whole ball of breakfast items.  INCLUDED in room rate too.  We have seen less appealing breakfast offerings, even at our London stay, for 20 pounds and it didn't meet the offerings here.  Check out the Ibis.  Right across the street.  Check out the Angel Bear too in front of the train station.  It was placed there during the environmental summit last fall to remind us that because of global warming the polar bears are disappearing.

SPACE A flight's for Military - Let the adventure begin!

Tomorrow we will be trying our hand at taking a MAC flight, (Military) to Mildenhall, UK.  They have come a long way since the 90's, the last time we used this free service only for military.  It's on space available and they only project 72 hours in advance.  We will let you know about our adventure and how we managed.  Also how we plan on getting back to the states.  Stay Tuned.

Innovatia paper towel dispenser- customer service to the moon and back for customers

What company would offer to make a housecall from Charlotte to Charleston South Carolina to help a customer resolve an issue?  I only know one; Innovia.

I couldn't believe I got a call from Bill saying he was going to be in the area tomorrow and offered to stop by. Omg!!  

He was able to FaceTime with me and resolve it over the phone.  Amazing to find this level of concern for customers.

Paris whirlwind adventure

Had a wonderful time exploring Paris with friends.

If you're planning a trip to Paris we absolutely loved our travel jackets from Global Travel.  No problem with being victims of pickpockets and had everything for the day tucked safely away in the interior pockets. All our wallets, snacks, Metro cards, you name it, even a bottle water.  Fantastic. 

One of the many sites that warmed my heart was the Angel Bear that was erected a few months ago prior to the Summit on Global Warming.  It is a reminder that the polar bears are disappearing as a result. What a spectacular piece of modern art that makes a statement. It stands in all its grandeaur outside Gare Du Nord train station. A must see. 

I noticed as we were entering the station this morning, 2 hours prior to departure as they said was needed that a homeless person was lying behind Angel Bear. So sad. 

There were many many street people panhandling in Paris.  Not aggressive just there. We saw a few with dogs and one was feeding his dog his meal he had. I had to give him money after lecturing him the money was for the chin (dog) not him. 

Then later I saw this man, not asking for Anything and had no shoes, no coat. Broke my heart. 

I should have bought him shoes and a belt. Still regret I didn't. This was in one of the richest neighborhoods in Paris and as he walked by folks sitting in cafes without a care in the world no one, including me did anything but I at least noticed.  I should have acted. I regret I didn't.  Not asking for a thing.  

A tip for those planning a Eurostar trip to Paris. We arrived 2 hours prior to out trains departure as instructed only to discover no one was on duty at 5:00 am to check us in as they don't start work until 6:05 am. Live and learn.  Also remember to fill out your customs cards for UK if you aren't a citizen of EU as you need them to board the train. Who knew. Glad my husband was vigilant and noticed.
