Another great one day Christmas present you can make in hours. Handmadewool scarfs-hand felted-headbands-broaches

I love felting and this is super easy.  Look through your closet or the rag bag, even go to Goodwill or the Salvation Army type store like I did. Be sure they are 100% wool sweaters or they won't felt.  Get out your sweaters that you don't want anymore or if you have any that you accidently put in the washer and shrunk to midget size these would be already felted.   You will need to felt them.  NOOO not that hard.  Anyone can do it.  Just take them put them in either hot hot water and put some dish soap in the sink and work them until they no longer show their individual stitches.  This will be when they are felted and you can use them for the flowers for your handmade scarf.

You can look up video's on how to do this as well.

Thank dry the wool in a hot dryer.  Now you have the fabric you'll need to make the flowers for the scarf.  You can also use them to make headbands for the little ones and broaches for the older folks on your list.

Then you'll cut out layers of flowers.  I used 4 layers of flowers.  I found lids to containers and bottles and just made each smaller as they stacked.  Then you cut around the edges in a random fashion and then stack.  You'll sew through the center with carpet or upholstery thread or a button thread.  You can also use regular thread if that's all you have on hand.  There is no limit to the items you can create.  I would love to see your creations.  Check out my web page and email your creations. I would love to share them with everyone.
